Step-by-Step JAWS Installation Process

Follow these steps to install JAWS on your Windows computer:

1. Download the JAWS Installer

2. Remember the file saves to your Downloads folder by default

2. Run the Installer

1. Open File Explorer (Windows+E)
2. Navigate to Downloads folder (press D until you hear “Downloads”)
3. Find the JAWS installer (named J2025.2503.39.400-Offline-x64.exe)
4. Press Enter to run the installer

3. Complete the Installation

1. User Account Control prompt:
   • Press Alt+Y to confirm
   • OR press Left Arrow once then Enter on Yes button
2. License Agreement:
   • Press Spacebar to check “Accept” checkbox
   • Tab to Install button
   • Press Enter
3. Wait for installation:
   • Installation progress will be announced
   • This may take several minutes
4. Restart prompt:
   • When complete, press Alt+Y to restart
   • OR press Enter on Yes button

4. Startup Visit

After restarting:

1. JAWS will launch automatically
2. The Startup Visit will appear
   • This helps configure basic settings
   • Press Esc if you want to set it up later
